Enjoying fun activities with your dog not only strengthens your bond of togetherness but also is a great way to add physical and mental stimulation to your pup’s life, which promotes overall good health, of course. Flash, Josie and I often enjoy fetching a puppuccino, watching movies together and opening their pawTree Paw Boxes every month. Whether you have a new puppy or an old faithful pal by your side there are plenty of ways to express yourself and have FUN with your dog!
Create a social media fan page. Are you and your pup ready to be internet sensations? Creating a TikTok, Facebook or Instagram page with your dog is one of the most enjoyable ways to show off just how incredible your bond is. Not into managing a budding social media star? Share a photo of your dog every week on your own social media profile.I often share photos of my pups on my personal Facebook profile page as well as my business pages . If you’d like to check them out, you can follow us here-https://www.facebook.com/marypuppinsthepetnanny, and our dog mama group https://www.facebook.com/groups/964661834156606 . If you have a page for your doggo please reply with the link. I’d love to share your pages with your permission! No such thing as too many dog pics, right?!
Sign up for a subscription box for you both. Treat yourself and your canine companion to a monthly goodie box! Snag a subscription box for your dog and a fun one for yourself. My pups get excited every month when their pawTree Paw Box arrives each month. The box contains their health supplements for the month and always something just for fun like treats, a toy, treat mix, etc. You can fill out a free Pet Profile and get reccomendations on products that would be helpful and fun for your dog here-https://shop.pawtree.com/Gratefuldogmama/petprofile. I don’t subscribe to an actual “subscription box” for myself. I’ve tried a few and for me personally I found that a lot of items I didn’t care for and gave to friends that hopefully enjoyed them. Instead I have a wishlist of items from a couple of direct sales companies that I am part of and get myself one or more items from the list monthly. These items range from pretty, comfortable and practical hair accessories, hair masques, microfiber hair wraps that help my hair dry faster, comfy eye masks, even things to make cleaning my house faster, more fun and safer for my dogs. I’m happy to help you select some treats for yourself too! Pro Tip: If you’re getting separate boxes for each of you, schedule them for delivery on the same day each month so you can share your surprises together!
Netflix and nap. Rainy days don’t mean you can’t have fun with your dog! All you need is the comfiest spot on the couch, a canine-friendly flick, snacks for everyone and a few hours to nap the afternoon away. Do you and your dog have a favorite movie to watch? Doggie cuddles make even rainy days brighter!
Grab a puppuccino or another dog friendly local treat. This off-the-menu item from the big java chain is a bit cheesy, but chances are your dog will love it. A visit there was Josie’s first outing with me and Flash when I adopted her and she thoroughly enjoyed it !
Plan a pet party. How long has it been since you’ve been together with all of your dog-loving friends? Plan a party for both people and pooches. If a party sounds fun but you don’t have the time to prepare and plan one yourself, Mary Puppins the Pet Nanny offers Puppy Parties! Have everyone bring a present and swap so each pup gets something new to take home to play with. Home-baked treats are an easy extra-special touch and can be whipped up in less than an hour if you’d like to make them yourself. Our pawTree pet baking mix can be used to make cookies, pupcakes or a small cake in no time! You can check those out here- https://shop.pawtree.com/Gratefuldogmama/products/968 .
